Hello!

I’m Ashley Schmaltz-Wells, the founder and sole practitioner behind Lazy S Equine Services LLC. I believe with structural integration, a horse can move more naturally and balanced forwards, backwards and side to side. It is important to me that each horse I work with feels their best because horses give so much to us. My mission is to rebalance the full potential of your horse.

About Me

I have been a lifelong equestrian with a passion for anything horse related. A fun fact about me is that I won my first horse at a rodeo when I was 10 years old. I have owned horses ever since. I was fortunate enough to grow up next to a boarding/training facility. There, I worked in exchange for lessons. I truly believe this experience allowed me to build a solid foundation of knowledge about horses.

I have always had a fascination for how the body moves. After I graduated high school, I thought I wanted to pursue a career in physical therapy. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology (which means the study of human movement). After completing my degree, I realized my passion was more in how to create more balanced movement in a horse’s body. This degree allows me to have a deep understanding of how the body moves and how each part of the body is interconnected.

I received my professional training in equine massage and structural integration from the Equine Natural Movement School. Here, I completed an in-depth program focused on holistic, hands-on techniques that improve equine range of motion, mobility, and performance. After graduating, I successfully passed the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure and Massage (NBCAAM) exam, earning my national board certification. I operate as a licensed LLC. and carry full professional liability insurance to ensure a high level of service and accountability for my clients.
